Welcome to my blog.
In a way this is a living sketchbook of my process and how I got to some of the concepts that either made it or fell by the wayside. A behind-the-scenes look at how some of the video images were made. I find all the mistakes and smudges to be a lot more interesting than the polished and presentable stuff.
It's true. The sketch is the soul of the artwork.
First I was given a script, and I did a series of thumbnail sketches of what I felt were key scenes. When we determined the number and sequence of images throughout the script, it was then time to flesh the thumbnails out and sketch in more detail the overall look of each panel. These sketches were one of 3 concepts shown.
