Illustrations for a stop-motion video promoting the book Happiness – The Art of Living with Peace, Confidence and Joy by Douglas A. Smith. Once the illustrations were finalized, I went into S77 Video Studio and I "drew" them again in front of a camera.
Everything – the animals and type – is rendered using a quill pen on bristol board.

I was in the running to illustrate an Alumni Coloring Book for Miami University. I didn't have actual coloring book line art samples to show, so I didn't get the project. Here are some samples for next time!
Illustrations commissioned for Scott Binger’s 60th Birthday Celebration. Creative Direction: Ricky Gonzalez. It’s a joy working with him.
I've been watching Archer - the animated spy spoof on Netflix. I love the way they animate the characters so I thought I would give it a try. Check back with this page - I'm drawing portraits of my friends and myself. Self portrait. Portrait of Hoa Pho, Designer - Illustrator; Me; Rachel Sadens, Designer - Illustrator; Marissa Hobson, Senior Designer - Illustrator. I've got great friends.
Flora and Fauna. Rendered in watercolor, pencil and gouache.
The Columbus Metropolitan Library just completed a $30 Million renovation. On opening day, the kids who explored the Kid's Area found a special treat - a little door behind a column where a Mouse Family lived. Peeking through the window they would see a mother mouse reading to her child.
The Carnegie Cafe honors the industrialist who founded more than 2,000 libraries in the USA. I drew his portrait for the logo - and tried to keep it timeless.
Proposed logo for "Books For Breakfast".
Logo for the awards certificate "I Survived the Jerry Hammond Center". During the renovation of the Main Library we were packed like sardines in a temporary office. Humor triumphed over adversity...

Emoji Icons for the Photo Booth at Fashion Week Columbus. I recreated these icons in Illustrator so they could be enlarged to 15" art. They are deceptively simple looking. There is a LOT of work that goes into them.
Merchandise Graphics designed for The Limited, Express, Tween Brands, Lane Bryant and Victoria's Secret.
Remember Marker Roughs? These are pencil sketches colorized in Photoshop for Bed Bath & Beyond's monthly circulars. A very accurate representation - colors are sampled from reference photos and dropped in. The Art Director and the Client know exactly what they are getting before they go to a photoshoot.
Sample illustration for Kreber Graphics. I recreated a Bed Bath & Beyond Catalog page in the illustration style they use to provide photo direction. I wanted to learn to do the style of illustrations they using, and determine the amount of time it takes to draw each scene.
